The governing bodies of the T.E.I. are the General Assembly, the Council, the President and the Vice-President. All elected members of the community. The highest administrative body of the T.E.I. is the General Assembly, which is responsible for the functioning of the Institute and the observance of its by-law. The General Assembly of the T.E.I. is composed of the President, the Vice-President, the Directors of Faculties, the Heads of Departments and student representatives (at 50% of the number of Assembly members who are members of the Academic Staff with the exception of the President, the Vice-President and the General Secretary of the T.E.I.), a representative of the administrative personnel and a representative of the Specialized Technical Staff. The Council sees to the smooth and harmonious running of the T.E.I., within the framework of the Assembly decisions, the by-law and the law and performs all the duties assigned to it by the Assembly. Members of the Council are the President, the Vice-President, the Directors of Faculties and a student representative. The General Secretary of the T.E.I. participates in the Council but can only vote on subjects concerning his responsibilities (economic and administrative issues). The President fully represents the T.E.I. and directs it in collaboration with the Council. The Vice-President assists the President in performing his/her duties and replaces him/her in the event of his/her absence or an impediment. He/she is responsible for the educational issues of the T.E.I. He/she is also President of the Training and Research Committee. |
