The library of the T.E.I of Messolonghi is housed in its own separate location in the multi-purpose hall and is connected with the Reading Room. The library of the T.E.I. of Messolonghi is an integral part of the educational activities of the Institute and covers thematically both the Faculty of Management and Economics and the Faculty of Agricultural Technology. It is a dynamic, peripheral unit which supports the function of all departments. It currently holds a collection of over 19.264 book titles, CD ROMs as well as a wide choice of periodicals.

• NATURAL SCIENSES: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Geology, Zoology, Botany
• APPLIED SCIENCES: Agriculture, Accounting, Information Technology
• FINE ARTS: Architecture
• LITERATURE: Ancient Greek Literature, Modern Greek Literature.
• DISSERTATIONS of graduates of the T.E.I. of Messolonghi.

The organization of the library material is ensured by a flexible online computer program whereas the classification is made electronically with the DEWEY decimal classification system. The library user can find a book by the writer's name, the title of the book, the ISBN code number, etc. There are special stands for periodicals and journals. Subscription and notice boards help visitors around the library.

The library issues personal Library Cards which allow users to take advantage of that service. The card holder can borrow up to 5 books but not dissertations, periodicals and reference material such as dictionaries, encyclopedias etc. which can only be used in the library.

The Reading Room functions in parallel with the library. There is a self-service photocopier which operates with magnetic cards sold at the library. Consumption of food and drinks and smoking are forbidden in the library-reading room space. Borrowing of library material to use in the reading room can be allowed only if the library visitors deposit their identity card and register number at the library counter.

The heart of the T.E.I. beats at the library. The updating of the library is promoted by the 2nd Community Support Framework.

Aim of the library is the future horizontal and vertical connection with networks such as the Intranet and the Internet. The library has been appointed as an upgraded point of convergence of the educational community of the T.E.I. of Messolonghi as well as of the whole precinct. One of the future targets of the library of the T.E.I. of Messolonghi is to offer a possibility of access to the public and all primary and secondary educational institutions and schools.
